|
Drift, Paint Rock River (PRR) system, Estill Fork, 1 mi N. Estillfork, Jackson County, Alabama. Bob Winters! 1/20/2017 (8.3 mm.). This form has a somewhat shallower interdenticular sinus, a less inflexed lateral terminus of its parietal tooth, and is quite globose. The latter feature sets it apart from all other slitmouth species found in PRR drift, namely S. angellum, S. barbatum, S. exodon, S. calvescens, S. deceptum, S. hirsutum, S. macgregori, S. nudum, S. spinosum, and S. stenotrema, all herein treated. |
