Selection Of Shark Teeth Which Can Be Found In The Wrack Line

    The beaches at both Mayport Naval Station and Kathryn Hanna Park are periodic recipients of the spoil from the St. Johns River bottom during channel maintenance (dredging). This quasi renourishment of the beach, while detrimental to the mollusk population, periodically results in a variety of fossils being found. The image below shows some of the finds from the Naval Station beach on 12/31/2005.
