Phaon Crescent [Phyciodes phaon] Mating |
| This mating pair were photographed in low vegetation east of Picolata in far western St. Johns County, Florida on 7/13/2008. As with other butterfly species, during the mating period it becomes somewhat easier to closely approach the specimens for photography. |
