Redheaded Pine Sawfly Larvae [Neodiprion lecontei]

    This  group of Redheaded Pine Sawfly Larvae were photographed by Joel Wooster on a young pine tree in a forest near Osteen in far west Volusia County on 1/27/2006. Sawfly caterpillars resemble moth or butterfly caterpillars and feed on the foliage of most pine species in Florida.
