Rusty Grasshopper [Schistocerca alutacea]

    This difficult to photograph species was captured by the camera of Joel Wooster at the Canaveral National Seashore on  9/12/2005. As Joel prepared to photograph a butterfly, the illustrated specimen conveniently alit nearby and was duly photographed.
