Pinecrest Hammock 91 is just off the Loop Road and may well have been used as a planting ground, as several "suspect" forms have been reported from here. These cingulatus are from the "general area of PC 91", and may have been introduced from other Pinecrest hammocks. In natural hammocks, form cingulatus will often cline to loose nearly all yellow coloration, rendering them almost entirely white. Collected by Sigsbee Walker in 1967. (MWJ) |
