It might be easy to select a different form name for individual specimens, such as Liguus fasciatus marmoratus or even Liguus fasciatus barbouri, but taken as a group, the shells from Pinecrest 43 can be competently described as floridanus clines. A shell similiar to Collier County 10 (Bloodhound) Liguus fasciatus gloriaslyvaticus was also found in Pinecrest 43 near the turn of the 20th century, but may not survive there today. (MWJ) |

These shells fall squarely into the form name floridanus, and are a distinct variety not consistently found elsewhere, to my knowledge. The illustrated specimens were collected in 1937. (MWJ) |
