Golden Silk Spider [Nephila clavipes]
    This Golden Silk Spider (also known as "Banana Spider") was photographed along a creek in far western Duval County, Florida on 10/11/2007. Although the species is occasionally encountered here in Duval County, it appears to be much more common further south.
