Embden Goose [Anser sp.]
     As this reporter was squatted down photographing aquatic mollusks along the shoreline of a lake on the campus of Florida State College Jacksonville, in southeastern Duval County, Florida on 5/13/2006, I had the feeling of being watched. Turning around, it was discovered that a pair of Embden Geese were looking over my shoulder watching my every move. As the camera was already in the macro mode, it was a simple matter swivel around and obtain close-up images. While Canada Geese [Branta canadensis] are a regular fixture at the lake, Embden Geese are not usually seen.
