Cassis tuberosa (Linnaeus, 1758) Caribbean Helmet Freak

Joyce (pictured) and Mickey Walsh have cruised the Bahamas aboard their sailboat "High Hopes" for 30 years. They are avid shell collectors, and were looking for shells on the sandbars off Musha Cay, Exumas, Bahamas, when Joyce saw this helmet shell. She instantly knew it was special. The shell is 10 1/2 inches long by 7 1/4 high and has a circumference of 24 inches.
