Pomacea diffusa Blume, 1957 Close Up Of Living Animal

This medium sized adult specimen was collected from the Pomacea diffusa habitat on Beach Boulevard, kept in captivity for about a year and half, and fed a diet consisting solely of Romaine lettuce. The specimen subsequently lost the ability to regulate its buoyancy and was relegated to floundering on the water's surface at which time it was euthanized.
