This species (or two, or three) lacks the siphonal canal characteristic of the bittiids and more likely belongs in the barleeid genus Lirobarleeia, e.g., Lirobarleeia chiriquiensis (Olsson and McGinty, 1958). Lower Pinecrest beds, Upper Tamiami Formation, Sarasota County, Florida (bottom specimen 5.78 mm.). SEMs produced in collaboration with Dr. Ann Heatherington, Dept.
