| Under debris in damp drainage ditch near the intersection of Ft. George Road and Palmetto Avenue, Ft. George Island, Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida, 1/20/2013 (7.2 mm.). Melampus is in the suborder Basommatophora and thus has its eyes at the base of the tentacles like our local freshwater pulmonates. |
