Euglandina rosea (Férussac, 1821) Variability - Unusually Dark Colored Specimens

    The two specimens illustrated below were collected from a single location about 4.2 miles east of Picolata along Country Road 208 in far western St. Johns County, Florida. They are significantly darker in coloration than normal specimens. These are the darkest colored Euglandina rosea ever found by this reporter.
