Sinistral Palaina taeniolata hyalina Quadras and Möllendorff, 1894

The shell of this tiny species weighs only 0.000847 grams (33,400 to the ounce). A large sample was collected before 1930 for Walter Freeman Webb and is comprised of 240 dextral and 4,617 sinistral specimens. That's just under 5% dextrals in a predominantly sinistral species.
