Green Anole [Anolis carolinensis] |
| This specimen was photographed while sitting on a sign near Bakersville in far western St. Johns County, Florida on 2/28/2009. While the species is gradually being supplanted in northeast Florida by the non-native Brown Anole [Anolis sagrei sagrei], a much more aggressive species from Cuba, that invasive species is not yet common in some of the rural areas of northeast Florida. |
