Waterlily Moth Caterpillars [Homophoberia cristata]

    These Waterlily Moth caterpillars were photographed on 4/23/2006 at Lake Oneida on the campus of the University of North Florida, Duval County, Florida as they were actively feeding on the leaves of Spatterdock [Nuphar lutea]. Species identification confirmed by Eric Quinter, American Museum of Natural History.
