Green Anole [Anolis carolinensis] |
| This specimen was photographed while sitting on a patio table in southeastern Jacksonville, Duval County, Florida on 3/20/2009. It was one of two specimens that were virtually identical in coloration, body shape and size. The species is gradually being supplanted in northeast Florida by the non-native Brown Anole [Anolis sagrei sagrei], a much more aggressive species from Cuba. |
