Mesodon thyroidus (Say, 1817) [White-lip Globe]) up a tree

    On the underside of palm tree frond about three feet above ground (with several large juvenile Mesodon thyroidus (Say, 1817) [White-lip Globe]) immediately adjacent to the County Road 220 bridge over Little Black Creek, Middleburg, Clay County, Florida 3/26/2022 (48.2 mm.). Flooding in the adjacent area likely prompted the snails to seek higher ground. Euglandina rosea in this flood prone area are extremely rare while Mesodon thyroidus are quite common and routinely climb trees in times of rising water as shown in the bottom image above taken the same date.
