Pomacea paludosa (Say, 1829) Florida Applesnail Juveniles

    These juveniles, less than 24 hours old, hatched from egg capsules that were obtained from Lake Oneida, University of North Florida Campus, Duval Co., Florida and placed in an aquarium at the photographer's residence. The two, the larger of which measures about 2.5 mm., hatched during the hours of darkness during the early morning hours of May 29, 2005.
