On
probable Laural Oak Tree
(Quercus laurilfolia) six feet above the ground,
along Nine
Mile Road at the western edge of Twelve Mile Swamp, St. Johns
County, Florida 2/28/2021. The tree on which the Drymaeus were
aestivating had a total of three Drymaeus present. The large vine
pictured is
Eastern Poison Ivy
(Toxicodendron radicans)
and Drymaeus are occasionally found seeking shelter near the
larger vines.
