Euglandina rosea (Férussac, 1821) Predation On Polygyra septemvolva Say, 1818 |
On 11/11/2018 three live adult Euglandina rosea were collected from the roadside swale on the west side of US-1 about 3.1 miles northwest of International Golf Parkway, St. Johns County, Florida. The shells measured 57.6, 62.7 and 64.5 mm., respectively. The three were subsequently dissected and only one of the trio, the 62.7 mm. specimen, was found to have prey in its gut - a partially digested adult Polygyra septemvolva. |
