Euglandina rosea (Férussac, 1821) Rosy Wolfsnail - Large Specimen

    In the roadside swale on the west side of US-1 about 3.4 miles northwest of International Golf Parkway, St. Johns County, Florida, 10/19/2021 (73.0 mm.). This specimen in the top image was initially found on 10/17/2021 as part of a mating pair (see bottom image above and Euglandina rosea (Férussac, 1821) Mating In Situ. At that time both snails were marked/tagged with red nail polish for further study/tracking. Upon recapture two days later, the second specimen was nowhere to be found.
