Leaf-footed Bug [Acanthocephala species]

This  Leaf-footed Bug was photographed on a small tree in a residential area of east Duval County and are quite common throughout the year. As many household pets have learned the hard way, the bugs are not to be trifled with as they can secrete a noxious odoriferous liquid when threatened. Colloquially they are known as "Stink Bugs."
